Les Chernokids

If there's one thing that freaks me out its mutant kids, they just gives me the creeps! However, I'm fascinated by stories about and around the history of the Chernobyl disaster, be it fictional or documentary or even travel oriented.

Les Chernokids is a 7 minute short gives us a glimpse into the lives of 4 mutant children with vivid imaginations who live under the shadow of the Chernobyl reactor. Starting off almost like a documentary interview with one of the children talking about his "mother" who we later find out to be literally one of the reactors. Some of the way the kids are shown can be deemed borderline disturbing so if you have issues watching images of the sort I would keep away.

The short film has been getting some creds winning "best of" at the E-Magiciens festival in Paris among a few others. The short CG film was directed by Matthieu Bernada, Nils Boussuge, Florence Ciuccoli, Clement Deltour and Marion Potegnief from the Supinfocom animation school.
